National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted for MBBS and BDS admission to all medical and dental colleges of the country. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct NEET 2024 in the first week of May in the offline mode. NEET application form 2024 will be available in last week of December 2017. In order to be eligible for NEET, applicants should have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from CBSE/state board. NEET 2024 question paper will consist of 180 objective type questions (MCQs) based on class 12 topics. NEET result will be announced only for those who will score the minimum qualifying marks as per their category. Based on the rank, a merit list will be prepared. As per the rank, aspirants will be called for NEET counselling for 15% All India Quota seats to be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Age Limit:The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL category and PwD Candidates.

Academic Qualification: Candidate must have qualified class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology from CBSE/any state board or any equivalent examination from recognised university.
Marks Obtained: General category candidates must secure 50% taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, while SC/ST/OBC students should secure 40%. The person with locomotor disability of lower limbs from general and reserved category must secure 45% and 40% respectively

The exam centres of NEET 2024 are the list of centres in various cities where the examination will be held. In the year 2024, the entrance test was held in 1921 NEET exam centres. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to select a city and centre. The selection of NEET exam centres 2024 will be allotted on first come first serve basis. The NTA will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of NEET (UG) - 2024 on the NTA website. Candidates are required to download the Admit Cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein. Candidates may please note that Admit Cards will not be sent by post. When candidate will download the Admit Card, a copy of the same in PDF format will also be emailed to the candidate on the registered email id. The Admit Card will bear the candidate’s Roll Number, Name, Father’s Name, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth, Language of Question Paper with Name and Address of examination Centre allotted.
All the aspirants must follow the instructions mentioned below at the exam centre:
Reporting at centre: The Examination Centre will open two (02) hours before the commencement of the test. No candidate shall be allowed to enter the Examination Centre after 1:30 p.m. Therefore, candidates must ensure that they leave home well in advance considering all facts like traffic, location of the Centre and weather conditions, etc.Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall.
Dress Code: As per the guidelines, candidates who will be appearing for NEET 2024 must wear half sleeves top/shirt. The clothes should be light in color. Only candidates wearing chappals and sandal will be allowed to appear for entrance test. All female applicants are not allowed to wear any ornament like bracelets, necklace or any metallic accessory.
Things to carry during NEET 2024: Aspirants must carry NEET admit card along with original Aadhaar card, one postcard and passport size photograph as per the specifications
Things restricted in NEET 2024: Candidates cannot carry stationery items, communication devices, ornaments, watches, eatables, or any metallic item which can be used as unfair means are prohibited in the exam centre.
The exam pattern of NEET 2024 defines the structure of the entrance test. NEET question paper consists of 180 objective type questions. The maximum time allotted to complete the test is three hours (3 hours). Candidates can check complete NEET exam pattern from the table below.
